Wellness-First BOARDING

Maple Hill Ranch isn't just a training facility; it’s a community for horse owners who prioritize equine wellness. We offer boarding for clients who share our dedication to high-quality care.

Our guests and their horses enjoy a peaceful environment where health is managed meticulously. Here, you’ll find a supportive atmosphere of like-minded people who value both the performance and the soul of the horse.

YOUNG HORSE DEVELOPMENT & COLT Starting

We believe that a successful future— whether as a high-level competition athlete or a dependable pleasure horse—starts with a positive experience.

Our approach ensures:

  • Confidence & Trust: We take the time to build a mental connection, ensuring the horse feels secure and capable in every new situation.

  • Balanced Growth: We respect the horse’s physical development, training in a way that supports a balanced and sustainable growth process.

  • Lightness & Versatility: Our goal is to develop a partner that is responsive to the lightest cues. We strive for a horse that is 'light in the bridle,' versatile in its abilities, and fundamentally reliable.

At Maple Hill Ranch, we don't just start horses; we build partners for life.

Sustainable Practices

At Maple Hill Ranch, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword—it is a way of life. We believe that a true ranching legacy is built on respecting the land and the natural cycles of the North. Our daily operations are guided by a commitment to the environment:

  • Minimal Carbon Footprint: We believe in sourcing locally. All the hay for our horses comes from our neighbors' nearby fields. By keeping our supply chain local, we significantly reduce transportation emissions and support the local farming economy.

  • Closing the Loop: We take pride in our circular economy. All bedding and manure from our stables are recycled and repurposed as nutrient-rich fertilizer for the fields that also provide the hay for sheep. This natural cycle ensures that the soil stays healthy and productive for the seasons to come.

  • Waste Management: We are diligent about keeping the ranch clean and eco-friendly. By sorting and recycling our waste, we minimize our environmental footprint and ensure that our beautiful countryside stays pristine.

  • Natural Land Management: Our sheep are our natural landscapers. Through rotational grazing, they promote biodiversity and maintain our pastures, reducing the need for mechanical mowing or chemical treatments.

Sustainable TRADITIONS & LOCAL Treasures

The valley of Maple Hill Ranch is also home to our flock of sheep. These 'ladies' are an integral part of our ranch’s ecosystem, helping us maintain the land and bringing their own charm to our daily life.

We take pride in utilizing everything our flock provides. We offer through our partner Lillungs Gård a selection of premium ranch-grown products, including:

  • Luxurious Wool: high-quality wool perfect for crafting, knitting and also horse health care.

  • Sheepskin Rugs: Beautifully soft and natural sheepskins that bring the warmth of the ranch into your home.
