MEET THE RANCHER

Maple Hill Ranch is operated by Ruut Vidgren. While representing a new generation of equestrians, Ruut is an exceptionally experienced trainer who has honed her skills across Europe. After years of competing in the international arena and honing her craft alongside world-class professional trainers, she brings a wealth of global knowledge and a fresh, professional perspective to the Finnish reining scene.

A Holistic Approach to Horsemanship

The core of Ruut’s work is achieving a supple, relaxed, and happy horse. To deepen this understanding, she is currently studying equine osteopathy. She integrates physical therapy and wellness services—such as medical laser treatments and massage—into the training program of every horse.

’I believe that a healthy and supple horse is the starting point for a functional partnership, regardless of the discipline or level. My goal is to help riders find a better connection with their horses through subtle cues and mutual trust.’

Ruut welcomes you and your horse to Maple Hill Ranch—a place where professional sport horse training and authentic ranch life come together."
